When the basics make sense, everything can start to click.

Math builds on itself. When a student has gaps in foundational ideas, each new topic can feel harder to reach. But when those ideas become clear, math can begin to make sense.

We’ll work on the concepts causing trouble, fill in gaps where needed, and find explanations that make sense to your student. Tutoring focuses on understanding concepts rather than memorizing steps. The goal is more than getting through tonight’s homework: it’s understanding why an answer is right and knowing how to find it next time.

I hold an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and have spent many years helping students—both in my own family and beyond—work through challenging school subjects.

I especially enjoy helping younger students discover that math can be understandable, approachable, and even enjoyable.
